Some Way

As the years went by, *Gail’s health declined rapidly. In and out of remission for different types of cancer, she knew she needed to make plans and prepare for the end of her life.

Gail has been blessed with great friends and church family. However, she was never married and did not have any children. Throughout the years, the Dallas High Shoals Christian Ministry helped Gail with different situations that arose. While Gail was admitted to the hospital, we were able to cover her utility bill to keep power on in her home. Life-sustaining medication was purchased several times and we were able to help connect her to Cancer Services.

After being enrolled for several months in our CFSP (low-income senior) Program, Gail wanted to give back in some way. She contacted the Community Foundation of Gaston County who helped walk her through becoming a Legacy Donor. A legacy gift is a gift left to a charity or non-profit in the last will and testament such as life-insurance benefits, land, estates, etc.

Gail was thrilled to learn that she could still make such an impact and give back for years to come.

Generosity from our donors and sponsors makes it possible to provide a more comfortable life for Gail. The funds provided made a way for Gail to have the medication she needed, power and running water and provided specific nutrition during her cancer treatments. We are so thankful for our faithful donors who make our giving possible.
